SOLFON – Whisper consists of closed-cell polyethylene foam sheets which are then micro-perforated, resulting in an increase in the sound absorption coefficient. At a thickness of 50mm, Whisper achieves NRC=1 (Class A Sound absorption class A).
This special material does not consist of fibers and therefore cannot crumble or emit irritating dust. It shows resistance to standard cleaners, as a result of which it can be easily cleaned. This makes Stratocell Whisper suitable for dinning areas, such as bars, restaurants, entertainment centers, etc. Other applications of the Stratocell material include sound absorption in recording studios, home cinemas, indoor swimming pools, gyms, car washes, shooting ranges, sports halls, in general areas with increased humidity levels, etc.
ISOLFON – Whisper closed-cell polyethylene foam sheets can also be applied as vertical sound-absorbing ceiling baffles, sound curtains in high-speed railways/highways, interior duct lining, ventilation-air conditioning sound traps, especially when there is high humidity, etc.
In addition, Stratocell Whisper can be installed as self-supporting panels with mechanical support (expandable plugs with suitable washers) or with liquid or spray adhesive. It is very easy to cut with a blade or suitable saw.
The product can be supplied in 2 different types according to fire resistance:
- ISOLFON-Whisper FR (fire rating according to DIN 4102:B1, EN 13501-1 B, S2 d0)
Color: White and black
- ISOLFON-Whisper DB (fire rating FMV SS 302)
