Acoustic Measurements

ALPHA ACOUSTIKI is using advanced measurement instruments to provide a wide range of noise – vibration and room acoustics measurements. Architectural and building Acoustic measurements include, amongst others, the following fields:

  • Reverberation Time: The reverberation time is the most important parameter for room acoustics. Reverberation time should be matching the use of the room.
  • Room acoustics / Sound Distribution: A simple measurement of the reverberation time is not sufficient to determine if the acoustic conditions are adequate for the intended use of the room. Parameters that can be measured are impulse response, energy time curves, waterfall plots, frequencies, decay times of modal and others.
  • Sound Insulation: In building acoustics an important parameter that needs to be taken into account is sound insulation, especially for sensitive areas like dwellings, hospitals, hotels etc.
